Abra Cadabra
Witchcraft was feared tremendously thoughout the middle ages in Europe. Witchcraft is an illusion that is created by the devil. It would cause multiple people at a time to worship the devil. People would blame the people who did witchcraft of accidents, bad luck, death, and illness. Witches were unfortunately blamed for everything. People now a days think that all the witchcraft was misread. Almost 80% of the people accused of witchcraft were women. People believe that women were mainly "witched" because they were too weak to deny the devil and not as emotionally strong as men. Witch trials were grossly unfair according to some. People in the middle ages would make sure that ALL the witches were hunted down and punishment would be given immediately. Witches were persecuted in courts. The person lived if they confessed to witchcraft. If they did not confess they would be punished to death or until they did confess.

Witchcraft
All the witches had some sort of magic or power. They could use it for good but most certainly for bad. People who danced, or did anything against their beliefs were accused. Witchcraft got so out of control that anyone could be accused of if, they were not liked. Christians viewed witchcraft as an illusion. People may have thought of themselves as a witch but in reality they weren't. They were making it up. A false lie got so out of control that these people controlled their leaders' minds. There is no actual scientific proof that witches were real.
All churches persecuted witches one way or another. Princes mainly were the ones to decide whether the witches were hunted or not. Prince's hunted them because church leaders taught them that witches were disturbers of the peace in the world, destructors of property, and killers of animals and people. Men were hardly ever accused of witchcraft, but when they were, people said they were oppressed into doing acts of wrong.
The witch trials were important because it took over. It destroyed towns, and millions of people died. It was a big deal. The people of the town would call the act of burning the witches "burning times". Witchcraft relates to other topics in the middle aged history like dark ages and torture. It also relates to the religion aspect in the middle ages. Finally, Jews and Muslims were falsly accused because the Christians thought they would invoke Satan, to destroy Christianity. That is all about the history of witchcraft in the middle ages.

Witched
Withchcraft was not until the late medieval times. Any poor behavioral activities were blamed on witches. There were two types of magic said to be used by witches: White magic and Black magic. Witches were either burned or hung if they did not confess to being a witch. The religious leaders were deathly afraid of witches. They believed that witches worked for the devil and followed his poor acts.
Witches were punished to the extreme. Sometimes witches were put in a thing called the "thumb screw torture." They used this to make them reveal sensitive personal information. It would crush their fingers until they confessed. Witches were also, fixed to the ground with iron nails, they had to spread their arms and legs while being naked under the sun, which resulted in having very strong sunburns all around a person's body. If this wasn't enough, wild animals used to eat the victim alive. Witches were also, stoned to death. Some didn't even torture witches because they thought that it would bring bad luck to them. Witches were very common.
