Witchcraft

All the witches had some sort of magic or power. They could use it for good but most certainly for bad. People who danced, or did anything against their beliefs were accused. Witchcraft got so out of control that anyone could be accused of if, they were not liked. Christians viewed witchcraft as an illusion. People may have thought of themselves as a witch but in reality they weren't. They were making it up. A false lie got so out of control that these people controlled their leaders' minds. There is no actual scientific proof that witches were real.

All churches persecuted witches one way or another. Princes mainly were the ones to decide whether the witches were hunted or not. Prince's hunted them because church leaders taught them that witches were disturbers of the peace in the world, destructors of property, and killers of animals and people. Men were hardly ever accused of witchcraft, but when they were, people said they were oppressed into doing acts of wrong.

The witch trials were important because it took over. It destroyed towns, and millions of people died. It was a big deal. The people of the town would call the act of burning the witches "burning times". Witchcraft relates to other topics in the middle aged history like dark ages and torture. It also relates to the religion aspect in the middle ages. Finally, Jews and Muslims were falsly accused because the Christians thought they would invoke Satan, to destroy Christianity. That is all about the history of witchcraft in the middle ages.
